Call for Proposals: Jersey Barrier Initiative (Fall 2010)

This fall, the New York City Department of Transportation is partnering again with the Mayor's Community Affairs Unit and New York Cares to paint selected barrier sites around the City. DOT invites artists and/or designers to envision the surface of these ordinary barriers as canvases for art. All interested artists are eligible to submit materials to this open call. Submissions must be received no later than close of business on Friday, October 15, 2010 to be considered. DOT will contact selected artists in late October to implement designs at specific barrier sites with support from volunteers organized by NY Cares.
